What to check before changing country
Apple’s region change instructions say to spend your balance, cancel subscriptions that block the change and wait until their period ends. Complete pending purchases, pre-orders, rentals and refunds. You may need a valid payment method for the new country.
Check content availability in advance. Apple recommends downloading your apps and media again on your devices before changing the region.

Where to change your Apple Account country
On iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Open Media & Purchases, then Country/Region.
- Select the country, continue and agree to the terms.
- Enter payment and address details if requested, then finish.
In a browser
Sign in at account.apple.com, open Personal Information → Country/Region and follow the instructions. For Mac and Windows, use the corresponding steps in Apple Support.

Why a region change may be unavailable
Check your balance, pending transactions and the end date of canceled subscriptions. Family Sharing membership can also prevent a country change. For a small balance you cannot spend, Apple advises contacting its support.

How a separate account differs
A region change updates an existing Apple Account. Ordering another account gives you separate access with the selected region. XGroup provides the account, inbox access and an SMS login code.
